Trip Style: Base Camp / Hands-on

This is Camp Yoshi’s play on 96-Hours in Oregon for families where parents and kiddos get to lead at camp. For ages 6 and up, this base camp style experience exploring Oregon’s Columbia Gorge & Mount Hood will give you all of the best moments of camp from amazing hikes, epic views, swimming in alpine lakes, camp cooking, to gourmet s’mores, and so much more. Departing from Portland, this route packs a lot in 3.5 days and will leave both parents and kiddos with wanting to experience it again.

Trip Total: $1250 per adult & $800 per youth (ages 7 - 18)

    • Day 1: Portland to Columbia Gorge for morning hike followed by arrival to basecamp. Camp Yoshi welcome experience followed by sunset dinner, movie night and stargazing;

    • Day 2: Water day at alpine lake and camp BBQ followed by evening sunset dinner and movie night;

    • Day 3: Morning hike to majestic water fall followed by camp tie dying session and field day;

    • Day 4: Return to PDX

    • Break down camp to return to Portland

    • Transportation/Shuttle

    • 1+ pair of pants (any type of durable pant will do)

    • 2-3+ moisture wicking t-shirts (synthetic or wool preferred especially when hiking)

    • 2-3+ pairs of hiking socks (not too thick unless it’s a late fall trip... and avoid cotton socks... we highly recommend wool or synthetic)

    • Warmer long sleeve top/layer

    • Lightweight insulated jacket

    • Waterproof shell jacket (highly doubt there will be rain)

    • Hiking shoes

    • Water shoes

    • Swim shorts/Swim suit

    • Lightweight, packable footwear for camp and water shoes

    • Neck gaiter/buff for sun, cold, dust

    • Sunglasses

    • Minimal personal toiletries: toothbrush, biodegradable camp wipes

    • Sleep mask and ear plugs

    Please be sure to bring a Valid driver’s license or photo ID.

  • Cancellation fees will be applied per camper according to the following schedule, based on the date we receive your written email notification:

    Cancellations initiated by the participant received via email to Camp Yoshi with more than 90 days notice before the adventure start date will receive their deposit and subsequent payments as a credit to be used towards future adventures with Camp Yoshi. The credit expires 1 year after being issued.

    Cancellations initiated by the camper received via email to Camp Yoshi less than 90 days before the adventure start date will forfeit all monies (deposit and any subsequent payments.

    No refunds will be provided for any reason for an unused portion of an adventure once the adventure begins, including if you leave an adventure for any reason or have to be removed from an adventure. The adventure price is a package cost and refunds and credits are not available for services not used.

    There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services).

    Camp Yoshi is not responsible for expenses incurred by Participants in preparing for a trip (eg. nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements pre- or post-departure date. The term applies whether the adventure is altered, modified, or cancelled by us or by you for any reason. Because the tour may be cancelled when a minimum number of Participants have not signed up, we recommend that you either purchase refundable air tickets or wait until we have confirmed with you approximately 90 days prior to the tour that we have a sufficient number of Participants.

COMMUNITY HIKE - RAMONA FALLS | MT. HOOD

In collaboration with our friends, Arc’teryx PDX, join CY for our third community hike at Ramona Falls. This 7 mile moderate hike checks all the adventure boxes and kicks off our first summer hike. CY will have limited transport for those who require it. It’s highly recommend attendees car pool. CY Cafe will be serving up gourmet provisions at the trail head post hike. Our convoy will depart PDX at 7am and return by 2pm at the latest. For those meeting us at the trailhead CY’s arrival time is 830am.

COMMUNITY HIKE - DOG MOUNTAIN

Join CY to chase wild flowers and big views at one of the Columbia Gorge’s most iconic hikes. CY will provide transport for those who prefer it (12 passengers max) and after the hike CY Cafe will be serving up gourmet bites and pour over coffee. The hike is 6.9 miles round trip/2 hrs 50 mins and consider difficult but the reward for your work will be worth it. Please bring snacks, water, a positive spirit and we’ll conquer Dog Mountain together. All pick up, departure information and menu details will be shared with RSVP’s only.
